Heruitgave uit 1992 van opnamen uit 1965 door de beroemde pianiste en Turina-vertolkster-bij-uitstek Alicia de Larrocha. "Astonishingly, few of Turinas 60 or so piano works have appeared on disc. True, there are moments when Turina could, all too clearly, switch on the required mood like so much tap water, but at his best (in the epic, virtuoso canvas of Sanlúcar de Barrameda) his music is a heady and glowing idealization of Andalucia; its richness and aridity, its blazing sunshine, its ultra-southern alternations of passion and languor. Sanlúcar (subtitled Sonata pintroesca) evokes a fortified seaport near Cadiz, and its opening clangour and, later, leitmotif phantom fanfare resonate with an ambition far beyond picture postcard impressionism."
