Live From Australia, 1972 (2005)

"This DVD got the best sound of any of the vintage Orbison live shows yet heard on CD or seen on DVD, with a good balance between the singer and the band, and with the added appeal of an orchestra. As a result, we get the best of both worlds, the band's rhythm section recorded nice and close and loud so that you can hear the strumming of the guitars and the flourishes on piano and drums. The camera angles don't change much, but there's enough variety to keep the viewer busy and engrossed. The 51-minute concert has been well preserved, with just a few unavoidable visual flaws, that are easily overlooked on the nicely crisp, full-screen (1.33-to-1) image. In addition to his own hits up through "Penny Arcade" (better here than the original recording), he also performs "Land of 1000 Dances," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and "Sweet Caroline."
