Tapestry Live In Hyde Park (2017)

Spectacular concert for more than 65,000 fans in Hyde Park on July 3, 2016, celebrating the 45h anniversary of the "Tapestry" album - including the first-ever performance of the entire album in sequence. "Tapestry" (1971) established King, already a noted songwriter of smash hits for Aretha Franklin, The Drifters and many others, as a definitive performer for a new decade. The blend of soothing pop with heartfelt lyrics struck a universal chord. The songs, including Its Too Late, I Feel The Earth Move, and Youve Got A Friend, remain timeless. The performance features Carole leading a full band (incl. guitarist Danny Kortchmar, who played on the original album) through "Tapestry" plus her favorites from her impressive songbook. Guest performers include her daughter, Louise Goffin, who joins her mother on several tracks including Where You Lead (which the duo re-recorded as the theme song to the TV series Gilmore Girls), plus the West End cast of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
