Het cd-boekje vermeldt: "The "Balkan Passions" are a moving demonstration of a common Balkan Culture. The repertoire of this CD comprises titles from Turkey, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Thrace, Albania, Macedonia and Greece and was recorded by Angelite with the guest musicians Okay Temiz, Sezen Aksu, Maria Farantouri and Fanfare Ciocarlia. With this album, the choir strives to preserve tradition and, what is more, to show how the music of the Balkan peninsula bridges gaps not only across national borders but also between the past and the present".
