"Elegys second album Supremacy is a longer, fortunately better conceived offering by the Progressive/Power Metal outfit. From the desperate social cry of Windows of the World, the depression protest of Angels Grace and the final epic Erase Me, the band unleashes spider palm-muted riffing, complicated and varied keyboard arpeggios, shredding solos and late-night soulful ballads (Lust for Life). This time the songwriting is more inspired, and there are several temporary highlights (the solos on Poisoned Hearts) and some syncopated instrumental passages. The main problem remains the fucking unlistenable vocals of Eduard Hovinga, but for those who are able to ignore them, the album rewards with dramatic songs and one highlight or two to boost."
