(...) Ms. Morrow played her debut as soloist with the South Bend Symphony at age 16 and performed one year later with the Indianapolis Symphony. She attended Indiana University and received an Artists Diploma from the Conservatory of Music in Freiburg. In addition, she has studied in master classes with renowned cellists such as Janos Starker, Gerhard Mantel and Antonio Janigro. An eight-year residency in Germany and Switzerland has afforded Ms. Morrow a unique opportunity to explore the styles and interpretations of classical musics heritage. Her repertoire extends beyond traditional classical periods and styles to incorporate jazz and 20th century compositions, and she has a special interest in and commitment to performing newly commissioned and lesser-known works in the cello repertoire. As a recitalist and chamber musician, she has concertized extensively in Europe and North America. Ms. Morrow has recently released her first solo CD, Soliloquy: Contemporary Works for Unaccompanied Cello.
