"Aletheia" means truth - truth as it first reveals itself, free of any judgment, yet also implying sincerity. The Aletheia Duo presents works to the audience in such a way - as if the works performed have just been invented anew. As the Aletheia Duo, Jonathan Keeble and Ann Yeung share a passion for bringing the creative possibilities of the music of this time to their audiences, and have inspired critics to describe their evocative performances as having "lyricism, and above all, magic (Flutist Quarterly)” and “A spectacular pairing (Harp Column).” This passion balances their commitment to reinterpreting contemporary and historic compositions for flute and harp with verve, sensitivity, and enthusiasm and to expanding the repertoire through innovative commissions of some of today’s most dynamic composers.
