"For those of you unfamiliar, she is often referred to as the greatest Brazilian singer of all time. I think she just has an amazingly evocative and powerful singing style. Sadly she died in 1982 at the age of just 36 from a cocktail of drugs and alcohol - more than 100,000 people followed the funeral procession in Sao Paulo. She left behind a lengthy discography as she first started recording at age just 16. My favourite songs on this album are Vento De Maio with Lo Borges, (track 11) & (track 13) O Que Foi Feito Devera, with Milton Nasciemento." (The Audio Standard)
