"A terrific 20 tracker that delivers a stellar cast of soul stars from the 60s, 70s and 80s performing songs written by our man! Soul collectors will know and love many of these cuts already – things like early 70s-era Supremes’ "Bad Weather", Marvin Gaye’s minor key gem "You’re The One For Me" and Jermaine Jackson’s punchy "Let’s Get Serious" (on which Stevie offers backing vocals, drums, piano, guitar and synth!). Like this one, there are a number of other tracks with no known recording by the man himself – things like "Open Up Your Heart" by LaBelle, Randy Crawford’s delicious recording of "We Had A Long So Strong" (originally a Smokey Robinson & the Miracles album track), "What Are You Going To Do With It" by Betty Wright (who co-wrote the song) and the Four Tops’ "What Else Is There To Do (But Think About You)".
