"This music is well weathered, cherishing its old-fashioned contours. That's not to say that Wynonna is unaware or uninterested in modern music. Two of the biggest rebels in 2010s Nashville are present here: Chris Stapleton co-wrote "Ain't No Thing" and Jason Isbell duets on "Things That I Lean On". But a greater indication of how assured and muscular the album feels are cameos by Suzan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, both providing a big, bluesy kick whose aftershocks are felt elsewhere, surfacing in slow, swampy vamps and soulful grooves. Despite this embrace of blues and rebellion, much is rooted in soul, whether it's the down-home faith of "Jesus And A Jukebox" or a sharp cover of Raphael Saadiq's "Staying In Love." The presence of the latter suggests just how casually inclusive and sharp this album is: freed of commercial expectations and paired with an empathetic band, Wynonna will sing anything she damn well pleases and she's wound up with a monster of an album." De countrysound van dochter Judd heeft injecties uit pop en rock gekregen, zonder geforceerd aan te doen. Daarbij is haar stem in topvorm. Het titelnummer is géén cover van de Bacharach/David-evergreen, wel doet ze een ver-country-de versie van 'I Want To Know What Love Is' met gitaarwerk van... Jeff Beck. Ook zingt ze in duet met haar moeder, ofwel een hereniging van The Judds.
