Als dit album een week eerder was uitgekomen, was “All Clocks Reset” erg toepasselijk geweest omdat de wintertijd toen inging. Toch is dit nummer een week later ook relevant en behoort het in mijn ogen tot een van de hoogtepunten op het album. Gong heeft zich met "Unending Ascending" wederom bewezen als grootmeesters van de spacerock. Het is telkens weer een traktatie een nieuw album van Gong te mogen horen, zeker als het albums van dit niveau zijn. Geen enkel minder nummer, stuk voor stuk interessante composities die laten zien dat Gong nog altijd een relevante band is die zich blijft vernieuwen, ook zonder originele leden." (Rockportaal)
