Derde album, uit 1999, van smooth-jazz-trompettist in 'jazzy funky, kool'-stijl. Met voorzichtig funky, deels geprogrammeerde ritmes, waarover Botti z'n ingehouden-fluwelen soli speelt. De Kenny G van de trompet zou je kunnen zeggen.
Tweede album, uit 1997, van jonge trompettist. Hij leent z'n romantische, Chet Baker-beinvloede spel aan poppy fusion-tracks met geprogrammeerde drums. Het titelnummer is een songs van Paul Buchanan en z'n Blue Nile en klinkt ook alszodanig.
"De CD is gewoon mooi. Je hoort de Amerikaanse Eric Vloeimans die een mooi evenwicht vindt tussen zelf schitteren en de gasten de ruimte geven. Maar de DVD is veel leuker. Dan hoor je ook de aankondigingen. Botti die naar de volle zaal kijkend verklaart hoe hijzo ver is gekomen. Eigenlijk is het een kwestie van vier competenties, zegt hij. 'Oefenen, oefenen, oefenen en zorgen dat je goede maatjes met Sting bent.' En ook de ruige Aerosmith-zanger Steven Tyler is mooi. Speciaal voor zijn vader (op rij 2) zingt hij de Charlie Chaplin-compositie "Smile". En alles natuurlijk perfect ondersteund door de trompet van Chris Botti. Maar wat nog vele malen interessanter is, is de 'behind the scenes'-documentaire. Fascinerend is een scene waarin John Mayer aan zijn aandeel wil beginnen. Juist dan wordt er iemand onwel in de zaal. Alles stopt. Hoe nu door? Sting stelt voor "Fragile" te gaan zingen. Over hoe breekbaar de mensheid is. Adembenemend. Overigens: dan man die onwel werd maakt het goed." (Ton Ouwehand, Tubantia)
