Het Valerius Ensemble speelt op 5 november 2017 het Derde blaaskwintet van deze hedendaagse Amerikaanse componist. David Maslanka (New Bedford, Massachusetts, 1943) schreef meer dan 50 (van zijn in totaal meer dan 150 composities) voor blazersensembles in alle mogelijke bezettingen.
