"One of the finest (and one of the very few) jazz harpists in the world, Deborah Henson-Conant combines storytelling and vocals in her entertaining show. She played piano from age ten, and started doubling on harp when she was 13. It became her main instrument while in college and, although classically trained, she also enjoyed improvising. In 1982, she began seriously playing jazz and the following year started amplifying her harp. In 1989, Henson-Conant was signed to GRP and she recorded three well-received recordings. She went on to tour the world, and record for Laika (a European company) and her own White Cat company. One of that rare breed known as jazz harpists, Henson-Conant is an underrated player and gifted composer. She doesn't have her full talents tested here because this set alternates between more expansive and ambitious jazz-based tunes and lighter adult contemporary and pop instrumental fare. But hearing harp in a lead role is interesting, no matter the context." (Allmusic)
Op 4 november 2011 (opnieuw) in Metropool, Hengelo: "Chieli Minucci is sinds 1982 de bandleider en gitarist van de Grammy genomineerde contemporary jazz groep Special EFX. De groep bracht maar liefst 25 albums uit. Chieli maakte ook naam als componist, arrangeur en producer. Hij speelde samen met hitmachines als Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, Jennifer Lopez, maar ook met jazzmusici als Marion Meadows, Jay Beckenstein, Bob Baldwin en Gerald Veasley. Daarnaast is Chieli ook componist van film- en televisie muziek. Hij won voor composities van de CBS serie The Guiding Light maar liefst 3 Emmy Awards". September 2010 was Minucci in zowel Hengelo als Enschede te zien. Ton Ouwehand daarover in de Tubantia: "Muziek die optelsom is van vakmanschap, speelplezier en streven naar een goed groepsgeluid. Met keyboardspeler Jay Rowe, bassist Jerry Brooks en drummer Lionel Cordew is het een soort Pat Metheny Group." En inderdaad is PMG ook de eerste referentie die binnenvalt bij het beluisteren van deze dubbelaar.
Op 25 september 2010 was Minucci met Special EFX in De Metropool te Hengelo tijdens het Smooth Jazz Europe Festival: "Dit is de eerste editie Smooth Jazz Festival in Europa met drie topmuzikanten, waaronder Chieli Municci. Componist, producer, bandleider en gitarist van het legendarische Special EFX. Deze groep bracht maar liefst 25 albums uit. Hij speelde samen met hitmachines als Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, Jennifer Lopez maar ook meer jazzgerelateerde namen als Marion Meadows, Jay Beckenstein, Bob Baldwin en Gerald Veasley."
