Peter Philips dirigeert op deze dvd de Tallis Scholars tijdens het historische concert ter gelegenheid van de 400ste geboortedag van Palestrina in 1994, gefilmd in de Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore te Rome. In deze basiliek zong Palestrina als koorjongen, op latere leeftijd werd hij Maestro di Capella. Naast een aantal prachtige werken van Palestrina, waaronder zijn Missa Papae Marcelli kunt u middels deze dvd ook genieten van Allegri's beroemde Miserere.
