"In general, all album cuts here have a spicy, yet cosmopolitan texture. I would urge anyone who enjoys club or rhythmic electronic music to own this CD. Euphoria sticks out with me as a very tantilizing departure from Liebert's home turf. In terms of orchestration, there is also a departure from the norm here as these cuts feature more synthesizers than we normally get with Liebart. Both cuts entitled "Havana Club" are irrestible dance pieces (and may be effectively considered as separate pieces). Lone Rider A and B are downright dub/trance pieces, very well done and unexpected. "Lush" is a wonderfully voiced electronic instrumental with a beat, synthesizer effects, and a decent melody. Although my decriptions sound diverse, these cuts do belong on the same album. Consider that I have frequent access to Liebart's albums, this is the only one which I have decided to own outright." (Amazon)
"Ottmar Liebert, an established flamenco guitarist, comes forth here with shining brilliance, presenting a charming collection of 15 songs worthy for a listen during a peaceful Christmas holiday. The songs, glistening with textures of smooth Latin rhythms, are played remarkably well and hold up fine as instrumentals." (Allmusic).
"Borrasca means tempest or storm, and that's exactly what Ottmar Liebert has created in the music world. His latest effort has been eagerly anticipated and the reception has been nothing short of phenomenal. This third release augments the "power-trio" approach of Ottmar and his mates Jon Gagan (bass and keyboards) and Dave Bryant (hot percussion and drums) with special horn arrangements that lend an almost mariachi flavor and strong Latin appeal" (Allmusic).
