Van huis uit jazz/fusion-gitariste (en vrouw van metiergenoot Mike Stern). Dit is echter een laidback liedjesplaat, meer in het genre van Suzanne Vega en navolgsters. Aan de opbouw van de songs is soms de jazzachtergrond merkbaar. Daarnaast zijn de arrangementen weliswaar veelal klein en transparant gehouden, maar wel exquise ingespeeld door prominente vrienden als gitaristen Bill Frisell en John McLaughlin (nee, geen Michael Stern...), saxofonist Michael Brecker en percussionist Zakir Hussain.
