"Op zijn derde cd "The Invisible" doet alt/tenor/sopraan-saxofonist Peter Epstein een poging om het onzichtbare hoorbaar te maken. Hoe dat kan en hoe hij dat doet is onnavolgbaar, en misschien ook wel niet zo belangrijk, het resultaat is in ieder geval prachtige avant-garde jazz. Hij schreef zeven nummers, die vervolgens binnen het kwartet (met bassist Chris Dahlgren, drummer Jim Black en toetsenbordspeler Jamie Saft) dat vreemde, onzichtbare en mysterieuze groepsproces ondergingen.
