"Het vierde album van het Ierse trio The Script is een logisch vervolg op voorganger "#3", waarop het materiaal voornamelijk in het teken stond van persoonlijk verlies. In de openingstrack van "No Sound Without Silence" wordt dat thema gecontinueerd. "No Good In Goodbye" (de titel zegt het al) had in muzikaal opzicht echter ook een nummer van de Backstreet Boys kunnen zijn. Want dat is het wonderlijke van deze jongens: de in interviews zo vaak aangehaalde invloeden van uiteenlopende acts als Van Morrison, Snow Patrol en The Police hoor je op hun platen zelden of nooit terug. The Script klinkt nog steeds als de uit de brokstukken van een boyband ontstane groep die het ook is. Helemaal niet erg, want het zijn in ieder geval niet de Backstreet Boys van "We've Got It Goin' On" die in herinnering worden geroepen. "Without Those Songs" en "Flares" zijn klasse-ballads."
