Soms zijn er locaties in de stad, buiten de stad of in de buitenwijken die om een verklaring vragen; er is een conflict, een leuk toeval of is er wel er is iets spannends aan de hand op deze (bijzondere) plekken. Door middel van een interventie kun je dat zichtbaar maken. Door een woord, een zin of een verzonnen woord of woorden op een locatie in de openbare ruimte te plaatsen. De verklaring die via de interventie is afgelegd is bedoeld om een verbinding tot stand te brengen met de omgeving, de context opnieuw definiëren of je op een andere manier laat kijken naar deze locatie.
De gekozen locaties zijn publiek toegankelijk en zichtbaar zijn vanaf een openbare weg. De werken in de publicatie tonen het concept, het proces en de resultaten van (CON)TEXT-toewijzing van dit onderzoek.
Sometimes there are locations in the city, outside the city or in the suburbs that require an explanation; there is a conflict, a nice coincidence or there is something exciting going on in these (special) places. It’s made visible through an intervention. By placing a word, a sentence or an invented word or words at a location in public space. The statement made through the intervention is intended to create a connection with the environment, redefine the context or make you look at this location in a different way. The chosen locations are publicly accessible and visible from a public road. The works in this publication demonstrate the concept, the process and results of (CON)TEXT assignment of this study.
